Prior to The Collective, Jack was the Regional Investment Director for the Pete for America (“PFA”) 2020 Presidential campaign, where he managed the fundraising efforts for the 20 states that comprised the largest region on the campaign, including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. In this role, he raised over $22 million for the cycle, oversaw the management and recruitment of over 150 national finance committee members, and executed over 80 events with Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Chasten Buttigieg, senior campaign staff, and various surrogates with an overall average event goal raise of 102%.

Before joining PFA, Jack served as the National Candidate Fundraiser at the Human Rights Campaign PAC (“HRC”). Jack led the organization’s national fundraising effort for federally endorsed candidates. At HRC, he sourced and secured major gifts from HRC’s member community across the country via candidate fundraising events. By designing and facilitating candidate fundraising training seminars for the national HRC member community, Jack raised over $1.7 million in 7 months for HRC-endorsed candidates during the 2018 cycle.

Prior to joining HRC, Jack was the Deputy Director for South Region & Native Tribe fundraising at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (“DSCC”), where he raised over $2 million. Jack managed call-time with sitting U.S. Senators to facilitate major donor gifts from four states in the region (Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and Louisiana) and fundraising event logistics for all events in the region including national events for the Native Tribe fundraising program.

Jack has also held a role on former Congressman Tom Perriello’s Virginia gubernatorial campaign as Deputy Finance Director. While gaining experience with state-level politics, Jack managed in-state finance events that raised over $4 million dollars in less than 5 months.

During the 2016 cycle, Jack was the Deputy Southern Midwest Finance Director for Secretary Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign, Hillary for America. For almost two years, Jack was a member of a small team that managed the campaign’s fundraising effort in the 13 states that comprised the Midwest Region (the largest region on the campaign!).  Jack planned and executed principal fundraising events for Secretary Hillary Clinton, President Bill Clinton, Senator Tim Kaine, and Chelsea Clinton that raised over $55 million in major donor gifts. Additionally, Jack designed and implemented a young professional fundraising program for Chicago donors that was later implemented in major cities across the country.

Jack began his fundraising career as  Finance Director at the Lenda Sherrell for U.S. Congress campaign. A small, yet ambitious, campaign that attempted to flip Tennessee’s fourth congressional district blue and oust incumbent U.S. Rep. Scott DesJarlais. By rapidly developing  a fundraising skill set through mentorship and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Finance Training program, Jack was able to raise over $900,000 in primary and general election campaign contributions.

Known for being a people person, Jack entered the political arena in various public outreach roles for the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Committee, President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign Obama for America, and the 2012 Democratic National Convention Committee.
