Maddie Covino is the Research Associate at Public Wise. She graduated in 2020 with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science-Statistics and Social Sciences from Columbia University and the Paris Institute of Political Studies (SciencesPo), respectively.
Prior to joining Public Wise, Maddie worked as the Policy Associate and Policy Manager at the National Vote at Home Institute where she led national research and polling initiatives, managed relationships with partner organizations, and provided recommendations and insight on election legislation to key players in the voting rights and election policy communities. She also has experience as a community organizer and was a Swing Left College Fellow in 2018.
Maddie believes that our democracy works best when all of our voices are heard and is excited to continue working toward a more equitable democracy at Public Wise. In her free time she can be found baking bread, spending time with her family, or birding in Central Park.
