Meet Our Team

Our Digital Fundraising Specialist, Emily Carriere, is an intentional relationship builder motivated by her passion for creating an equitable democracy. She enjoys bridging the gaps between policy and philanthropy, making complex socio-political systems easily accessible to a wide-range of audiences. 

Her interdisciplinary background guides her intersectional approach to political issues today. Emily triple majored in Feminist Studies, Legal Studies, and Psychology at the University of California–Santa Cruz and then went on to receive her Masters in Public Policy from the University of California–Riverside. 

In her previous role as Grants Manager with IGNITE, Emily cultivated institutional networks through personalized engagement to empower young women’s political ambition. Drawing from experience in both foundation and nonprofit settings, Emily utilizes inclusive language that conveys the urgency of our organizational mission to everyday people who want to make an impact on American democracy. 

Outside of work, you can find Emily attending local concerts and drag shows, exploring art museums around the world, or walking her senior dog who she adopted back in middle school.
