Public Wise compiled and carefully vetted the elected and appointed officials identified in the Election Threat Index.

We monitor policy positions, sponsored legislation, letters of support and voter suppression efforts in service of “The Big Lie.”

To qualify for inclusion in the Election Threat Index, individuals must meet carefully selected criteria. They include positions and actions that clearly deny the outcome of the 2020 or 2022 elections.

    Election deniers in the State House risk enacting laws that can undermine fair voting processes and democratic integrity.

    20% of State Representatives in these 7 states are election threats.

    State Senators

    Election deniers as senators may pass biased laws and endorse appointees that erode electoral integrity and democratic principles.

    25% of State Senators in these 7 states are election threats.

    Election deniers in county & local office could undermine election administration, including compliance with election law and voter registration.

    Statewide Office

    Election deniers in statewide office may undermine the integrity of the voting process.

    The chair and vice chair of the WI election commission, the Sec. of State of FL, and the Lt. Gov of GA are all election threats.

    46 public officials have participated in election denial activities. Just in the state house, they represent 47% of the states’ constituents.

    14 public officials have participated in election denial activities. Just in the state house, they represent 7% of the states’ constituents.

    50 public officials have participated in election denial activities. Just in the state house, they represent 17% of the states’ constituents.
