Janet Protasiewicz

Public Wise is proud to endorse Judge Janet Protasiewicz for the open seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. 

Wisconsin is the most gerrymandered state in the union, and its state Supreme Court currently has a 4-3 conservative majority. With a conservative retiring from the bench, the majority makeup of the court is hanging in the balance, and with it issues ranging from fair representation to voting rights to reproductive freedom and the ability of labor to organize for decent wages and fair working conditions.

Judge Janet Protasiewicz obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her J.D. from Marquette University Law School. She served as an adjunct professor of law and as an assistant district attorney for 26 years prior to being elected to the Milwaukee County Circuit Court. Judge Protasiewicz is a champion of the Constitution and a free and fair Wisconsin for all, and we look forward to seeing her on the bench.
