Insurrectionists are Winning Their Primaries

Over ten candidates listed in the Insurrection Index advance in respective August 2nd primary races. These individuals either helped organize, participated in or supported the Big Lie. They should be held accountable and not hold office.

“The recent primary results prove once again that democracy is under attack. January 6th was not an isolated event, and these insurrectionist candidates are closer to winning seats in government where they will be able to further corrupt our democracy,” said Christina Baal-Owens, Executive Director of Public Wise. “We have an opportunity to stop this anti-democratic wave in the general elections in November. We must take it.”

We encourage those who value democracy to look up the candidates in their respective states so that they can vote against them in their states’ general elections.
