Insurrectionists Continue to Advance in Their Primaries & Runoffs
08.24.2022
There are currently 157 candidates listed in the Insurrection Index who will be on the ballot in November. That number may increase to 159 after the Michigan Republican convention on 8/27 for Secretary of State (Kristina Karamo) and AG (Matthew DePerno).
“We’ve seen a trend throughout these primaries as insurrectionist candidates continue to win elections across the country,” said Christina Baal-Owens, Executive Director of Public Wise. “These anti-democracy proponents may soon have access to the highest levels of power in our government, and we need to use our power at the ballot box to keep them out of office in November.”
