Live Views of Event
The National Asian Pacific Women’s Forum is a partner we granted to during the 2020 election cycle and were instrumental in turning out the AAPI vote during the Georgia runoff elections. On March 16, 2021 a heinous hate crime against Asian women happened in Atlanta.
Within six weeks of the attack Public Wise in partnership with Onward Together and Michelle Kwan produced a virtual fundraiser to raise rapid response funds for NAPAWF as part of continued Funds+ support.
“What Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have endured over the last year has no place in America, and it falls on all of us to come together and take action. I’m honored to be joining NAPAWF to shine a light on these issues and lift up the women and girls who will be on the front lines of advocacy and activism in the AAPI community.”
—Hillary Rodham Clinton
“In the past several weeks, the racism, misogyny and dehumanization of Asian American and Pacific Islander women have been brought to the forefront of the national conversation – unfortunately, for all the wrong reasons. The murder of six Asian American women in Atlanta is perhaps the most extreme version of the racism and sexism that AAPI women face. To dismantle the systems of oppression that enable this violence we must invest in AAPI women organizing and building power across the country in their local communities. We are thankful for the outpouring of support from allies, with the knowledge that our collective wellbeing relies on solidarity.”

“The deaths of the shooting victims in Atlanta as well as the Anti-Asian hate crime victims around the country cannot be in vain. Our community needs to use our voices and build our power to truly stop Asian hate. We are proud to partner with NAPAWF and Onward Together to work toward long term solutions.”
